I've been doing a lot of development work lately (just moved into Linux
from Mac Webservers) and my logs are getting really big. I can't remember
where but I'm certain I've seen a one line bash command to empty log files.
Any gurus out there know what that may be? I'de like to put it into a cron
script.
Yep, looked in the man pages, How-To's also. I've got the online version of
Linux admin guide, but no mention of what I'm looking for.
Slackware version 3.6
Bash version 1.14.7
DAve.
PS, other newbies note. http://www.mcp.com (macmillian Computer Reference)
will let you view the complete text of several Linux books online for 90
days, no charge. Cool deal.
