Ok, in further attempts to see if my zip drive is working: Is there a better way to see if the zip drive is working than to try to mount various device such as sda or sda4? It would be nice if I could see generally which of the devices listed in /dev are actually in use. Also, when I boot up, I see something about scsi_mod flash briefly by (at least, I think I do), but it doesn't show up in my syslog file or when I use dmesg. Some of the messages I can make out definitely do not show up, as well. Is there any way I can make sure I'm getting absolutely all of the boot messages into a file? Thanks, Erika.
