http://WWW.mcp.com has some linux books you can read online,
http://www.cheapbytes .com sold me a v3.6 slackware cd for $1.99, and
http://sunsite.unc.edu has all the docs in plaintext. I liked the how-to's,
I thought they helped the most.

DAve.
