RedHat Startup scripts.

Hello,

I'm running RedHat 5.1, I'd like to stop certain programs from loading on
bootup - ie the file /etc/rc.d/init.d/sendmail is the bash script for
booting/killing/restart sendmail....etc... I'd like to stop loading it
without having to rename the file??

anyone got any ideas?
