Hi all.. I just got my hands on a 3COM 905B Network card... I was running a 3c905 before this. The 905B works fine under Windows but not under linux... There are different drivers for the 905B from the 905 for windows, but just one option in Linux and that's the Vortex / Boomerang support. I'm using Kernel 2.0.35. When the machine boots, it seems to just be using an invalid mac address... It reports the hardware address as being ffffff:fffff or something like that (just ff's) Has anyone got one of these cards working under linux and what needed to be done?
