The netscape problem is not a problem if you either
a) Start Netscape AFTER ppp connection is successfully opened
b) manaualy add the dns server ip's to /etc/resolv.conf
I think b is correct, but a guru on the list can likely advise.
Try wvdial as well.
Redhat has a control panel as root, yes? Theres a tool there for ppp
setup (do you have a mnaual? It ought to be mentioned)

try wvdial, this allows multiple profiles for dialing, ie wvdial for the
default, wvdial -name for name, etc.
kppp has multiple account support. Ezppp might, I forget.
