Dear helpful people,

Sorry to ask this on this list, but I have looked for an Apache newsgroup
and cannot find one. I hope this question is not too off-topic. If you know
of a good Apache newbie forum, please let me know and I will ask there.

Here is the question: I am trying to fix a Web site which is located on a
Linux/Apache machine. Currently everything works fine, except for a few
pages (that were added by another person). All of the files that I created
use the extension .html. The files that this other person added to the site
use the extension .htm. When I click on a link from my pages to his, I get
returned to the browser the source code for the Web pages, but they are not
displayed as Web pages (they are displayed as the monospaced source files).
When I download these files to my computer they work fine (they are
displayed at Web pages, not as text files).

I *think* the problem is the extension (.htm instead of .html). I believe
that on this server Apache is set to only send .html files as Web pages,
but sends .htm pages as plain text. I *think* there is a configuration file
that can be changed to correct this. Is this correct? What do I need to do
to change the server settings so these pages will load into a browser as
Web pages and not plain text. If I am incorrect in guessing what the
problem is, can someone please point me in the right direction.

Thanks a lot!!!

-Ken
