Hi all:
I'm having trouble upgrading my kernel from 2.0.36 to 2.2.5. I got the
required 'changes' but can't compile the modutils-2.1.121. Untarred okay
but when reading the "README" file it says:

Note further that package *must* be compiled under a 2.1.x kernel as
we need to be able to find out the architecture specific system call
number given to query_module.

This seems like flogging a dead horse, can't install kernel-2.2.x and
can't compile the needed files under the prior kernel. Do I "REALLY" need
to install a DEVELOPMENT kernel?

        I'm running RH5.2 installed w/2.0.36-07 kernel.

TIA

Tom
