Tape Drive

Hi all, I just have a question on tape backups.
I have an old Summit SE120 (QIC80) tape drive which I considered trying
to put to use. It is the type which connects to the floppy cable.
The documentation does not give any info on io ports etc. It won't work
under Win95, only DOS 5./Win3.1.

After compiling the new kernel(2.2.6) I see that I could have tried to
set up the tape drive but am unsure what to use for settings.

Is this perhaps just not worth it?
