Hi, I just installed R.H. 5.2 with kernel 2.2.5 on an i686 board. I'm having a horrible time trying to get my sound up. I have a Yamaha OPL3-SA3 integrated chipset on my motherboard. I first tried putting the OPL2-SA2 driver(which should also support my chipset) directly into the kernel with PnP support, also with the BIOS PnP option set to yes for a PnP OS. I got an error message that there were too many DMAs Max(1)configured. Next, I tried PnPtools and used a configuration that I found in the sound driver's documentation. This did not work either. I will have to recompile the kernel. Would an alternate driver help such as the ALSA driver? I'm a little discouraged with this PnP issue. I just know I'll have more problems when I go to set up my serial port card for my ISDN. Yours, Carolyn
