RH from 5.2 up atleast, creates a /boot partition along with a /
partition. The size of the /boot partition is 30M (8% usage). 
I would advise creating a /home partition so you can upgrade without
losing configuration info, depending on what you are doing home should
be > 300M.

And so far I have never run into the 1024 limit, I think it has
something to do with BIOSes.

Somethings are best left alone, install Windows 95 first and thank god
it is not 98.
