The closest I can come is, well, call the two groups readers and
writers. Make a third group, both, that includes everyone who should be
able to get at the file in any way. Give the parent directory of file
execute access to group both, and no access to other, then file has
group writers, rw, and other, r, but since other can not get at files
in the parent directory, only groups readers and writers can enjoy that
privilege. Does that help any? :-)
