I recently learned these commands -- they are a wonderful thing to have
around... especially with a 486! I'm an MP3 lover... and I used to suffer
little breaks here and there... But I set the priority to -20 and I can
use my system, and the MP3s don't "skip" when I do other things -- like
saving a download in Lynx or when fetchmail grabs me my mail :)

It doesn't seem like there are any "side effects" from doing this other
than that input/output is a bit slower -- the typing slowdown is noticably
slower. Thank God for buffers, that's for sure! :)
