upgrading libjpeg.so

I upgraded from libjpeg.so.60 to libjpeg.so.62.

After that i ran ldconfig and SuSEconfig (SuSE 6.1), however, I can't
view jpeg files or open Eterm.  Seems these things are "expecting
libjpeg.so.60".  My question is, what do I need to do to get things to
"expect" libjpeg.so.62?  BTW, this is Eterm .8.9.
