I have the Linux Mandrake Venus PowerPack (6.0) distribution. It installs
fine and I am very happy. However, I install angband (the dungeon game) and
try to run it. It then pops up a message saying that it cannot find a file
called news.txt. It even displays the full qualifying path name. I look on
my filesystem to verify if the file exists and it does. I can even edit it.
What am I doing wrong?

One more question, I have and SB Live! driver for my soundcard but only for
kernel versions 2.0.35 and 2.2.5. How can I get either driver to work and
produce sound on the kernel 2.2.9 or later? Assume I know nothing about
installing sound modules and drivers ('cos you'd be right!) and that I
haven't tinkered with it yet - last time I did I got loads of error messages
during boot and shutdown.

Let me thank you now for any help that you guys provide!

Best regards,
Matt.
