Hi all:
My thanks to John Skinner, Jyry Kuukkanen, and Hal Schlicht for your
responses regarding KDE1.1.1. Finally got everything downloaded and
installed. Everything seems to be working, at least what I've tried so far.
Now I'm getting two error messages when KDE starts up. They both refer to
the absence of mime types.
could not find mime type
application/x-rpm
in opt/kde/share/applnk/System/kpackviewer.kdelnk
could not find mime type
application/x-debian-package
in opt/kde/share/applnk/System/kpackviewer.kdelnk
Shouldn't these have been installed when the kpackviewer.rpm package was
installed? How do I install them now and where do I get them from?
