Then you will need to mount the cdrom again and install the compiler,
under Redhat 6.0 thats egcs there are 4 files i can fimd starting
with egcs in. /cdrom/Redhat/RPMS

1352265 Apr 20 04:49 egcs-1.1.2-12.i386.rpm
1757201 Apr 20 04:49 egcs-c++-1.1.2-12.i386.rpm
1440605 Apr 20 04:49 egcs-g77-1.1.2-12.i386.rpm
839647 Apr 20 04:49 egcs-objc-1.1.2-12.i386.rpm

As to which one it is i dont know, try the old trick i told you in my
origanal message;
rpm -i <filename> if it is installed it will tell you, if not it
will get installed or give dependancie warnings which means you will
need to install other rpm's first, read carefully what rpm returns on
the screen that should help a lot.

It seems to me as if you only installed a base system, whereby no
compiler, development libs, or anything of importance gets installed.

But Again to recap on what [EMAIL PROTECTED] said, if you have
kernel 2.2.5 installed then all you need is in modules, lry loading
the modules first, a complete list of modules can be found in
/lib/modules/<kernel-version-#>/*

Now if i offeded you with the EYES word then i appolagise, reading
is one of the most important things with anything new, if it wont
work beforehand that is.
