Richard is right. Kernel 2.2.5 is more than enough. And if you're
getting a larger disk, you'll be able to install everything and save a lot
of time and nerves... Another chance would be to get another distribution
(May I recommend Slackware without starting a war????) and install it on
the same disk, because the space requirements are lower...
