        Yes, there is one i can recommend. It is LICQ runs without problems on my
box. The version I use is 0.61 and requires QT 1.44, newer versions need
QT2.0. This can conflict with a running KDE 1.x.x version, because both QT
versions officially can't  run side by side, but there are several
workarounds.
        LICQ is available at www.licq.org and there is also a mailing list where
problems can be discussed. Only one more thing has to be said too, to start
LICQ one needs an existing ICQ account (UIN), that can only be received by
using the MS-Windows ICQ client. If you have no access to a Windows system
connected to the internet u may try ur luck at an internetcafe or ask a
friend who may help you out.
