Does anyone have any more information on the PPP dialer applet for gnome? I am now happy to say that I finally got online. As it turns out, my ISP is using PAP authentication, although it does not appear that way when you connect with Minicom. The information giving in gnome states that once a proper ppp connection is set up, the dialer applet will allow my to simply activate the connect. What exactly constitutes a "proper" ppp setup? Now that I am connected online, is there any way to see what my connection speed is? Thank for any help offered in advance John
