When I configured my machine to have a hostname on a network, I began
to experience occasional problems that seem to be that some machines to
which I send e-mail can't resolve my machine's name.

I'm running RH6.0. The problem occurs when I use rmail under emacs for
mailing. The problem affects only some of my mail, and it does not affect
mail messages sent via a modem connection using xminicom.

Here is a typical error message. My e-mail address is brownh@hartford-
hwp.com. The hostname is teufel.hartford-hwp.com
