Hello everybody
Here I was feeling all cool and figured Hey I compiled XFree86 Why not a new
kernel!
so Here I am looking at the Howto, the readme and all the mail that I had
archived.
I know exactly What to do, what to compile and all that good stuff. But it
seems like all the things that I have now make a 1.5mb kernel (I have the
stock RH 6.0 Kernel)
anyway I'm looking to install PPP 2.2.4 and it requires new drivers. (I wish
that I just had a .config file with the defaults that I already have so that
I could just recompile the present kernel with the new drivers. Does anyone
know of any such file? Or possible a program that will examine the present
kernel and generate a config file? I tried going through the make menuconfig
and Turning off all the stuff that I would not need, set the specific
processor type, and load modules for almost everything I needed Anyone know
of any really Big areas that I can cut out?
