That message does not realy mean the irq is in use. it could be that
the modules cant load, check you parport modules, i resume you have
alias parport_lowlevel parport_pc
pre-install pcmcia_core /etc/rc.d/init.d/pcmcia start
In your /etc/conf.modules that will load the modules needed to
operate the parport(s), check also that your printer module lp is not
loaded as well.
