Newbie ask help in Linux configuring Hello Newbie need help. After power failure and recovery I can not start xterm and similar programs under Xwindow. In superuser mode they works correctly, but in ordinary user mode - not. On the console (Alt-F1 screen) I have read different messages like "permission denied". Later I have detected that Midnight Commander (mc) works correctly only under superuser mode, but in ordinary mode I can nt toggle panels by command Ctrl-O. mc shows red panel: "Not a xterm or Linux console the panels can not be toggled" I reinstal system I add new users in system.
