OK,
thanks to the respondents to my earlier question. The problem is not as
serious as mostly curious the particular machine on my network has no
soundcard, but the syslog message is recorded after I start KDE. Hmmm, do we
see a pattern here, some low level sound setting thingy, I'll have a look
shortly.
However, the question remains where is the most logical place either within
my own system or by URL to find out exactly what goes into conf.modules. I
have various snippets of stuff from previous posts, about 'alias net-pf-' &
'alias tty-ldisc-' but have yet to corelate them to a source document or is
it the source {kernel} that I should read.
