Samba share on Win98, Part II

Thank you for all the help. I was able to solve the win98 password
encryption problem.

Now I have another problem. The win98 client is able to see various
"shares" on the Samba server.
On some shares, the respective files inside can be seen. However, on other
shares NO files can 
be seen. In this case, the share appears like an empty directory. 

What is the problem here? Can anybody shed some light?
