I had post a question about setting up an awe64 sound card in Caldera 2.2 I
know there have been problems in the past with this particular kernel and
sound card configurations, but if you can help please let me know.

Perhaps many people like myself simply delete any files with "test" as
subject on assumption the sender does not seek a replay. I read yours
by chance, and it appears you DO want a reply.
