Yeah, I believe StarOffic from Sun has something similar to
access in it... - it's pretty much a near clone of MS office,
except its freeware, and will read and write most office filetypes.
I've managed to get it to load databases I created in access97, and
it seems to provide the same sort of functionality except for the
absence of VBA...
Sun were offering free CD's of StarOffice, so it might be worth
seeing if there's any left - try
