I use a combination of cron and wget to do this. Using the '-c' flag on
wget, it can continue downloads where it left off if the server supports
it. I use cron to schedule it to dial-up at midnight and download until
5AM at which time it disconnects and shuts down. I am using it to
download all of the RPMS for RH6.1 on a 33.6 dial-up connection, and it
is up to "g", so I know it works. :)

Although I have no experience with Staroffice, I do know that
StarDivision was recently purchased by Sun Microsystems, so you can
either see if StarDivision's old site (http://www.stardiv.com --I think)
still exists or explore around Sun's site. (http://www.sun.com).
