Hello Once again!,
When I go to shutdown my redhat 6.0 Machine it gives an error message
indicating that it can't load a library file
the command that I am using is
shutdown now
reboot
halt
all of them give the same error cannot load library xxxxxxxx No such file or
directory
Please forgive me I left the text file with the error message at home I
realize that we will probably need the error message before doing much but I
figured I'd toss this out there and see if anyone has any ideas first. I can
run linuxconf and chose shutdown and it works but I would like to know what
I did to break this
I did recently (since the last time I took the system down) remove X windows
and all of it's dependencies (running low on disk space) I figured that for
a computer without a monitor X windows and all the graphical crap was a
expendable resource.
I do remember that the name of the library that failed was libXsomthing else
there was a capital X in it
If anyone has any ideas Please let me know I hate having to use linuxconf
for routine system events

Regards,
Chris Bennett
