Hi all,

finaly got all the pieces to upgrade the hardware:
From: AT case, K6-2 233 + motherboard
To: ATX case, PII 300 + motherboard
All the other stuff is still the same.
One small remark,
No, no, first of all, thanx for the help from you all. Indeed the
original kernel booted the new hardware perfectly, except for the loader
(LILO) it got stuck at:
LILO..........................
and it did that over and over again.
I tried with booting from the Slackware 7.0 CD-Rom and that wenth fine
(adding the line 'vmlinuz root=/dev/hda2 load_ramdisk=0 initrd=')
And reinstalling LILO.
What I've noticed is that when running the setup, and installing a new
LILO from scratch I got just LI when booting, no mather installing in
expert nor automaticly.
I looked at the lilo.conf file and there were some things missing:
message = /boot/boot_message.txt
prompt
were missing. As I couldn't recollect the excact things so I could put
them there myself, I tried it a few times, changing between automatic
and expert install, it finally did it by itself and everything is fine
now.

Is this something todo with LILO or with the Slackware setup program who
installs LILO by itself?
It is strange that when running the same program a few times it makes it
most of the time makes the same mistake, or am I wrong?

Well, last but not least, Linux is now running fine.

Greetings to you all, and to all a good night.
    Jeroen
