Epson LQ-300? It's not listed at all in the printer database at
http://www.picante.com/~gtaylor/pht/printer_list.cgi
But if it worked under RH 5.2 and SuSE something_or_other, it ought to work
on RH 6.1 -- this is mainly a Ghostscript issue, and that's an app that
doesn't change all that much from version to version.
How did you print ps files on the other Linux systems? Assuming you were
somehow using lpd, take a look in /etc/ptintcap in one of them and find the
entry for the Epson. See what it says. If you've installed Ghostscript on
your RH 6.1 system (the GS .rpm files are on my 6.0 CD; but I don't have 6.1
here to check), try the same printcap entry on the new RH host.
The apps **probably** can be transferred from the SuSE system if you can't
find the equivalent .rpms ... but I'd try doing a RH install first. You
don't identify the vintage of SuSE well enough for me to know, and there
*might* be libc6 issues in moving the binaries from one to the other.
