I cant really make head or tails of what you want or what you are trying to
do. You seem to be mixing so many things up.
Why in heavens name would a gateway have a "local" address of 127.0.0.2
You dont need linuxconf to chabge an exsiting address, use ifconfig to
change it and edit the relavant file by hand for the next reboot, in this
case.

/etc/sysconfig/network

You possably have made a typo in you mail here with the inet address, is it
12 or 200 ???
I think you need to explain what you want to do rather than say its not
right.
