Perhaps you have seen me post a few messages in the past about using eznet to
make your PPP connection. This is an extremely painless way to get PPP
working.

However...I thought that I ought to give a safety tip regarding it's use.

When you add a service to eznet it saves all of that information in a
configuration file. This includes usernames and passwords. Though this is a
text file it's default permissions are 600 and is owned by root. Safe enough.
However, the default permissions on eznet is 755. That means user can run
eznet and connect to the service regardless of which user owns the actual
service acct. READ BIG SECURITY HOLE.

So though eznet is a great way to connect, you must be careful which services
you have it setup for.
