I see that you may have a little problem. .
Before i can give you advice on this can you tell me how you installed KDE,
was it off a RPM file
or did you select KDe in the setup of 6.2 as well as gnome as this would
make a difference.
Have you configured your machine to start the X-server on boot up. This can
be done manually or did you select starting X
on startup from the conigurator on install.
The correct way from what I can see of your setup would be to insert the
command "startkde2 in the xinitrc file in the home directory, and the start
X11 with "startx".
why dont you reinstall on the install options, select Gnome and KDE, then on
the xconfig thingy, towards the end of setup, selct for x to start on system
startup, this will give you a really GUI interface in which to select Gnome
or KDE.
Have fun with KDE it is a really good interface, that is eay to setup
