David como estas? Que bueno que quieras aprender Linux, es un buen sistema operativo orientado a muchas cosas dependiendo de la configuracion que quieras darle. Primero debes de saber que en Linux hay muchas distribuciones del SO y que no es una sola, dentro de las mas conocidas estan, Gentoo, OpenSuse, Centos, Debian, Ubuntu entre otras muchas mas. <http://distrowatch.com/>Imagino que lo primero que quieres es una distro de desktop, par alo cual te puedo recomendar ubuntu, vidalinux, opensuse o sabayon. Pero si tienes tiempo y quieres aprender desde 0 te recomiendo que descargues Gentoo <http://www.gentoo.org> y te tomes tu tiempo instalandolo, pero te aseguro que despues de que logres instalarlo te aseguro que podras instalar cualquier otra distro.
