If you only need diagnostics, the 32 bit diagnostics should be what you want. The application can create a bootable CD or USB stick for you to use in the server. Check the "Diagnostics" category on the download page for 2650.

Hi there, Well, I "won" on eBay earlier this week - actually, I think I did quite well, picked up one of these machines for £40 - and I'm just checking it out at the moment. Is there such a thing as a bootable hardware diagnostics CD that covers the 2650, please? I have looked at the Dell downloads page for this model <http://tinyurl.com/yatrt9h > [1] and I see multiple .iso CD images that might fit the description - notably OM_5.2.0_SDU_A00.ISO and OM_6.2.0_SSDT_A00.iso, both described (I think) as "Systems Service And Diagnostic Tools". The thing is that that could equally describe a bunch of utilities that you install under Windows to check system health, and there are other disk images on there such as "Systems Management Tools and Documentation" - there are just so many it's a bit confusing. I understand that it's possible to make a systems partition on the hard-drive - is this the only option for diagnostics, or can the hardware diagnostics utilities (which I assume are available?) be run from CD, too? Many thanks for any comments, Stroller.
