Hi one of our PE2950's is saying it can hold 64Gb RAM while all the others say they only support 32GB of RAM.
Lets call a regular 32GB max 2950 server_32 and the 64GB max server server_64 r...@server_32 # omreport chassis info Chassis Information Index : 0 Chassis Name : Main System Chassis Host Name : server_32 BMC Version : 2.05 DRAC 5 Version : 1.33 Chassis Model : PowerEdge 2950 Chassis Lock : Present Chassis Service Tag : Chassis Asset Tag : Flash chassis identify LED state : Off Flash chassis identify LED timeout value : 300 r...@server_64 # # omreport chassis info Chassis Information Index : 0 Chassis Name : Main System Chassis Host Name : server_64 BMC Version : 2.05 DRAC 5 Version : 1.33 Chassis Model : PowerEdge 2950 Chassis Lock : Present Chassis Service Tag : Chassis Asset Tag : Flash chassis identify LED state : Off Flash chassis identify LED timeout value : 300 Both look identical from above. However here's the abbreviated output of omreport chassis memory r...@server_32 # omreport chassis info Total of Memory Array(s) Attributes : Total Installed Capacity Value : 16384 MB Attributes : Total Installed Capacity Available to the OS Value : 16236 MB Attributes : Total Maximum Capacity Value : 32768 MB r...@server_64 # Total of Memory Array(s) Attributes : Total Installed Capacity Value : 8192 MB Attributes : Total Installed Capacity Available to the OS Value : 8108 MB Attributes : Total Maximum Capacity Value : 65280 MB So server_64 is showing a max of 64GB, why is this ?
