The largest currently supported SAS drives are 600GB. There is a limit for RAIDs/Virtual Disks but that is merely theoretical and can't be met with just 6x HDDs. But with 6x 600GB HDD in a RAID5 you will not see the full 3TB in OS because the 600GB have only around 550GB net capacity.
