Dell - Internal Use - Confidential
Hi Nicole,

From initial analysis it looks like the PM license check(to check whether
update is
allowed on system) is failing for the Dell Update Package. Probably some IPMI
commands are failing in the system. To analyze, we require logs. Can u please
provide us the logs?

These are the steps to get the debug logs:
     1. Extract dup by running the command "dup.bin --extract \dup_extract_dir"
     2. Change to the extracted directory by running “cd \dup_extract_dir “.
     3. Create an empty file called dupdebuglog [without extension] by running
“echo “” > dupdebuglog” .
     4. Run ./spsetup.sh
     7. Attach all the *.log files and also Dell customer logs from
/var/log/dell/updatepackage/log/ and /var/log/dell/updatepackage/log/support
directories.

Thanks,
Ananya.

Subject: [Linux-PowerEdge] DSU - The attempted feature is not licensed

Hi all,
I have a problem with dsu on an T310 running el7.

The nics will not update due to this message:

[*]3 NetXtreme II BCM5716 Gigabit Ethernet rev 20 (em1)
Current Version : 7.12.17 Upgrade to : 7.12.19

Installing Network_Firmware_35RF5_LN_7.12.19...
The attempted feature is not licensed to run on this system. Please contact
service provider

Any idea?
The same message prevents the h700 update:

Dsu version dell-system-update-1.2-16.01.00

Thanks!
Kind regards,

Nicole
