Dell - Internal Use - Confidential I believe the problem is : >>> “ping linux.dell.com<http://linux.dell.com>” >>>Does not get any packets through.
DSU requires to download Catalog rpm from linux.dell.com as long as not being accessed from an offline repository. If the destination is not reachable, DSU will fail to download the Catalog and exit. I’ve successfully installed DSU and OMSA with the rpm’s. OMSA is working fine, getting all the DRAC data over SNMP, but the DSU is giving me headaches, the command: “dsu —inventory” gives me “Could not download the catalog rpm, Please check repository configuration” When I run: "sh /usr/libexec/dell_dup/invcol_V8336_LN64_15.06.00_A00” i get <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <SVMInventory lang="en" schemaVersion="1.0" invcolVersion="15.06.200 (BLD_406)" invcolBuild="406" timeStamp="2016-05-08T15:51:12"> <OperatingSystem osCode="LIN" osVendor="Redhat" osArch="x64" majorVersion="package redhat-release-server is not installed" minorVersion="2.6.32-573.el6.x86_64"/> <System systemID="04F7"/><Device componentID="2331" display="OpenManage Server Administrator"> <Application componentType="APP" version="8.2.0" display="OpenManage Server Administrator"/> </Device> <Device componentID="159" display="BIOS"><Application componentType="BIOS" version="2.4.2" display="BIOS"/></Device> <Device componentID="28897" display="Lifecycle Controller"> <Application componentType="APAC" version="2.21.21.21" display="Lifecycle Controller"/> </Device> <Device componentID="25806" display="Dell 64 Bit uEFI Diagnostics, version 4247, 4247A1, 4247.2"> <Application componentType="APAC" version="4247A1" display="Dell 64 Bit uEFI Diagnostics, version 4247, 4247A1, 4247.2"/> </Device> <Device componentID="18981" display="OS Drivers Pack, 7.4.1.10, A00"> <Application componentType="APAC" version="7.4.1.10" display="OS Drivers Pack, 7.4.1.10, A00"/> </Device> <Device componentID="101734" display="OS Collector"> <Application componentType="APAC" version="0" display="OS Collector"/> </Device> <Device componentID="28352" enum="PS:0" display="Power Supply"> <Application componentType="FRMW" version="07.18.7E" display="Power Supply"/> </Device> <Device componentID="28352" enum="PS:1" display="Power Supply"> <Application componentType="FRMW" version="07.18.7E" display="Power Supply"/> </Device> <Device vendorID="1000" deviceID="0073" subDeviceID="1f51" subVendorID="1028" bus="1" device="0" function="0" display="PERC H310 Mini Controller 0"><Application componentType="FRMW" version="20.13.1-0002" display="PERC H310 Mini Controller 0 Firmware"/></Device> <Device componentID="24963" enum="CtrlId 0 DeviceId 0" display="WDC WD5003ABYX-1"><Application componentType="FRMW" version="1S04" display="Firmware for - Disk 0 of PERC H310 Mini Controller 0 "/></Device> <Device componentID="24963" enum="CtrlId 0 DeviceId 1" display="WDC WD5003ABYX-1"><Application componentType="FRMW" version="1S04" display="Firmware for - Disk 1 of PERC H310 Mini Controller 0 "/></Device> <Device componentID="25227" display=" iDRAC"> <Application componentType="FRMW" version="2.21.21.21" display=" iDRAC"/> </Device> <Device vendorID="14e4" deviceID="165f" subVendorID="1028" subDeviceID="04f7" bus="2" device="0" function="0" display="NetXtreme BCM5720 Gigabit Ethernet PCIe (em1)"> <Application componentType="FRMW" version="7.10.64" display="NetXtreme BCM5720 Gigabit Ethernet PCIe (em1)"/> </Device> <Device vendorID="14e4" deviceID="165f" subVendorID="1028" subDeviceID="04f7" bus="2" device="0" function="1" display="NetXtreme BCM5720 Gigabit Ethernet PCIe (em2)"> <Application componentType="FRMW" version="7.10.64" display="NetXtreme BCM5720 Gigabit Ethernet PCIe (em2)"/> </Device> </SVMInventory> <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <InventoryError lang="en"><SPStatus result="false" module="linddcfg.sh -inv -s"> <Message> Missing module dependency detected. </Message> </SPStatus><SPStatus result="false" module="linddcfg.sh -inv -s"><Message>Invalid inventory results.</Message></SPStatus></InventoryError> The command: “host linux.dell.com<http://linux.dell.com>” gives me “linux.dell.com<http://linux.dell.com> is an alias for linux.ins.dell.com<http://linux.ins.dell.com> linux.ins.dell.com<http://linux.ins.dell.com> has address 143.166.224.62” And the command: “ping linux.dell.com<http://linux.dell.com>” Does not get any packets through.
