When attempting to follow the instructions on an ubuntu 18.04 server today, I was unable to pull the gpg key from pool.sks-keyservers.net using the commands as written. sudo gpg --keyserver pool.sks-keyservers.net --recv-key 1285491434D8786F results in a hang, and going to the web version and just entering 1285491434D8786F fails as well. Updating the command to sudo gpg --keyserver pool.sks-keyservers.net --recv-key 0x1285491434D8786F seems to have done the trick for me.
