Hi!
I have two question about ppp in linux. First: what is netmask on ppp device on?
I thought, routing is made according interface, broadcast has also nothing to do
with point to point interface... Could someone explain it to me? I have problem
with routing from dial-in interface to network beeing connected through leased
ppp to the same ppp-server. My configuration is: two 32-address subnets, lets
say 192.168.1.0/27 on leased line, and 192.168.1.32/27 on dial-in, ppp server
has 192.168.1.65/26 on eth0, and interfaces

1. leased
ppp0 192.168.1.65 pointopoint 192.168.1.1 netmask 255.255.255.224
+ host route to 192.168.1.1 through ppp0 and route to net .0/27 with gw .1

2. dial-in
ppp1 192.168.1.65 pointopoint 192.168.1.62 netmask 255.255.255.224
+ host route to 192.168.1.62

And... I can't ping 192.168.1.1 from 192.168.1.62. Why?

And second question: what does exactly "proxyarp" do? Comment in options file
is not clear to me. I'm asking, because I see "Could not determine address for
proxyarp " or somthing like that in my ppp log.

I'll be very thankfull....

Siaco.
