Please send my URL or all spec to e-mail. > If you want faster ping times, turn off compression and error correction, > but it's not worth it. 180msec is a reasonable ping time for a modem/PPP > connection. I see, but anyway, I think is too slow, even with compression/checksum... I new in all this sh*, and is were any way to know the actual speed of modem connection or ppp-connection. As I connect to server it actually shows the modem-computer speed (115200), not the actual connection speed. > The difference is due to the modem waiting for more data in an > attempt to compress/checksum a larger block. So if I send bigger packages ( let say 512 b ) it will send them quicker? Or is there any possibility to force the sending? I working on I-net phonery program, which must use connection via ppp link, and I get big delay, as i understand it because of delay in ppp. Sigis J. - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-ppp" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
