hi guys!
i am relatively new to linux...
i am using redhat 5.0
with great difficulty i recompiled the kernel to support ppp,
i use minicom to initially connect to the ISP, then i use
the Alt-Q option to quit without hang-up and then
i run pppd...
the problem is that it tries negotiating and then ultimately
disconnects...the error shown looks like "LCP time out", when
i tail the /var/log/messages file..
i have checked all the settings, and i have no clue about what
to do... please help..
