launching X11 app. from ip-up

Hi,


After the ppp link is established, I'd like to launch
various X11 applications from the ip-up script.
But a  :

su  -$PPPLOGNAME  -c "licq" (for instance)

doesn't work (can't open DISPLAY)

Is there an elegant way  to get this working ?
(I use XISP to manage my various ppp connections, and
don't have direct acces to ipparam)
