Recompiling the 2.2.10 kernel under SuSE 6.2 for SMP. The new kernel
installed and boots great. I also complied the required networking
protocols IP/TCP into the new kernel. The boot.msg is interesting
compared to a kernel without dual processors compiled.

But after installing I was to unable get pppd up using the wvdialer
which is provided under SuSE. The wvdialer dials the modem fine. Any
suggestions will be appreciated! I've included the output of both pppd
and boot process. Sorry for the length of post.
