hmm, looks like maybe your machine is asking 209.24.0.9 for name service but
flash.net name servers seem to be at different ip addresses. This is the output
from nslookup:
Thursday, January 20, 2000 03:04:13PM
Name Server LookUp for www.flash.net
Search Type: A - Host address
Name Server: 165.104.131.239
Answer Section:
www.flash.net, CNAME, nexus.flash.net
nexus.flash.net, A, 209.30.0.13
nexus.flash.net, A, 209.30.0.24
Authority Records Section:
flash.net, NS, ns1.flash.net
flash.net, NS, ns2.flash.net
Additional Records Section:
ns1.flash.net, A, 209.30.0.9
ns2.flash.net, A, 209.30.0.100
The name server ip addresses appear to be 209.30.0.9 and 209.30.0.100. Maybe?

don't seem to be able to use host and domain
names. I have include what information I could.
How I kick off pppd.......................
exec /usr/sbin/pppd debug lock modem crtscts
/dev/ttyS2 57600 \
asyncmap 20A0000 escape FF kdebug 0
