I avoid patching kernels, preferring to use the stock Fedora releases.
Perhaps I should re-phrase the above statement to read "until the Fedora Core 3 kernel includes SMART support in libata ..." :)
Actually, I'm running 2.6.10 - how can I tell if SMART support is included in libata?
