I've just taken a fresh 2.0.35 kernel and applied patch raid0145-19981005-C-2.0.35 This results in all raid .h files in include/linux having zero length. Since the removed information is the only place the superblock magic information was located, it's impossible for a RAID0 system to autostart. Something must not be right.
